Meta has launched Meta One, a paid subscription that runs across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI. It was announced on 15 September 2026, and Tubefilter reported on it two days later. There are plans for everyday users who want more AI, and separate plans for creators and businesses that add scheduling, links, analytics and support.

This post sets out what changed, what each tier costs and includes, and what it means for creators and for the brands that book them. Every figure comes from Meta or from the press coverage listed at the foot of the page.

What Meta One is

What Meta One is

Meta One is a single name for Meta's paid plans across its apps. Meta says it is available globally and rolling out gradually, and that plans, benefits, prices and availability may vary by region, app and account.

It launched with more than 50 features across Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI, with Edits, AI glasses and more to follow. Meta says it has had 15 million subscriptions and trials to date, but it has not said how those split between plans.

Meta is clear that the basics stay free. In its words: "The core experience across our apps and Meta AI has always been free, and that's not changing." Meta AI remains free for everyday use. The paid tiers add higher limits and extra tools on top.

Tubefilter reads the launch as a way for Meta to recoup some of its spending on AI.

How much Meta One costs for individual users

How much Meta One costs for individual users

There are three single-app plans and two bundles for individuals.

  • WhatsApp Plus at $2.99 a month Themes and icons, special effect stickers and more pinned chats

  • Instagram Plus at $3.99 a month Custom fonts in DMs and Stories, alerts when certain people view your Story, and DM previews

  • Facebook Plus at $3.99 a month Custom app icons and super hearts, with more Reels insights to come

  • Core at $7.99 a month Everything in the single-app plans, plus more Story restyling, voice effects and Meta AI image and video generation

  • Premium at $19.99 a month Everything in Core, with Meta's highest AI and cross-app creation limits

The main draw of Core and Premium is more use of Muse, the Meta chatbot that launched on 8 September. Meta has not published exact usage limits and told TechCrunch they can vary by country, surface and system conditions. Meta says that in early testing more than half of subscribers used both the AI and the self-expression features, and that Restyle and voice effects on Instagram were among the top reasons people signed up.

What the Meta One creator and business plans include

The creator and business plans are priced per profile and start at $14.99 a month.

  • Essential from $14.99 a month Presence management tools, a verified badge, a verified WhatsApp Business channel, impersonation protection once verified, and more access to Meta Business Agent, which answers customers on WhatsApp around the clock

  • Advanced from $49.99 a month Story scheduling up to 30 days ahead, clickable links in organic posts and Reels, exportable analytics, deeper audience insights, team access without sharing a password, and more Business Agent replies

  • Expert from $149 a month Larger versions of the Advanced tools for teams managing accounts at scale

  • Max from $499 a month The highest limits, plus what Tubefilter describes as 24/7 "unlimited" access to Meta's support specialists for help with the account

Meta has not given exact numbers for how many links, team members or agent replies each tier allows.

Meta also lists profile features for subscribers: an expanded profile showing your website, locations and what people say about you, a bold follow button on Reels, and automatic follow invitations to people who engage with your content. Edits Plus is coming soon, with more cloud storage and extra use of an Edits assistant for Instagram insights and brainstorming ideas.

What Meta One means for creators

What Meta One means for creators

Some of what creators have asked for over the years now sits behind a paywall: links in Reels, longer scheduling, analytics you can export and a way to reach a human at Meta. Tubefilter points out that the support access in Max matters because platforms have cut back on creator managers and direct contacts.

Whether a plan is worth paying for depends on how you work.

  • Links and analytics If you send followers to a shop, a newsletter or a booking page, links in Reels may be the most useful part of Advanced

  • Verification and protection If people impersonate your account, Essential adds a verified badge and impersonation protection

  • Team access If an assistant or manager posts for you, shared access without passing round a password is safer

  • The free tier still works Paying does not replace good content. The basics to grow a following organically are unchanged

Exportable analytics and deeper audience insights also make it easier to show a brand who your audience is. That is part of the work our creator management team does with talent: knowing your numbers and matching your audience to the right partners. If you are a creator looking for representation, you can apply as talent.

What it means for brands working with creators

What it means for brands working with creators

For brands, the change is mostly about what creators can deliver. A creator on Advanced or above can add a clickable link to a Reel and export their analytics, which may make reporting on a paid post simpler. Ask at the brief stage which tools a creator has, rather than assuming.

Brands themselves can also subscribe. The business tiers add Meta Business Agent replies on WhatsApp, team access and support, which may suit brands running their own accounts and customer service.

It follows a wider move by platforms to put creator data closer to brands, as with YouTube's Channel Search test earlier this month. For help planning creator and talent campaigns, or content for your own channels, see our guide to UGC for brands.

Concerns about AI content on Meta

Concerns about AI content on Meta

Meta One sells more computing power for AI video, images and chat. Tubefilter asks how Meta will handle the extra AI-generated content this could bring, noting that YouTube, TikTok and Snapchat have all had to crack down on low-quality AI content after promoting their own AI creation tools.

Tubefilter also cites a Futurism investigation that found Meta struggling to control manipulative and violent AI-generated videos, and reports that Meta removed only two of the eight accounts Futurism flagged. For creators and brands, that is a reason to keep an eye on where paid content appears and what sits next to it.
