Owen Warner Makes His West End Debut in Witness for the Prosecution

We are so proud to share a huge milestone for our very own Owen Warner. On 17 March 2026, Owen stepped onto the West End stage for the very first time, taking on the lead role of Leonard Vole in Agatha Christie's iconic courtroom thriller Witness for the Prosecution at London County Hall. A moment years in the making, and one we could not be more thrilled to celebrate.
The Role, the Production, and the Stage
Witness for the Prosecution has been gripping West End audiences since 2017, and its power shows absolutely no sign of fading. Now in its fifteenth cast, the production is one of the most celebrated theatrical experiences in London, with almost every performance selling out. Set inside the spectacular historic Council Chamber of London County Hall on the South Bank, the show places audiences directly in the courtroom as the case unfolds around them.
Owen leads the company as Leonard Vole, a man accused of murdering a widow to inherit her wealth. It is a role that demands presence, nuance, and the ability to hold a room, and Owen does all three. Directed by Lucy Bailey, whose credits include Death on the Nile and Murder on the Orient Express, the production weaves Christie's story of justice, passion, and betrayal into a thrilling night of theatre that stays with you long after the curtain falls.
"Making my West End debut is genuinely a dream come true. I have wanted to prove myself on stage for so long, and to do it in a production like this, playing a character as complex and compelling as Leonard Vole, is everything. I am so grateful for the opportunity and so proud to be part of something this special."

From Hollyoaks to the West End
For many, Owen needs no introduction. He spent years as one of the best-loved faces on British television, playing Romeo Nightingale in Channel 4's Hollyoaks, a role that earned him a dedicated fanbase and established him as a genuine screen talent. In 2022, he took the nation by storm when he reached the final of ITV's I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, finishing in a remarkable second place and introducing himself to an even wider audience.
But Owen has always had his sights set further. The West End debut is not a footnote in his story, it is the beginning of a new chapter. With upcoming film projects Spider Island and Butterfly also on the horizon, 2026 is shaping up to be his most exciting year yet across every format.
